This is a sudden announcement, but Guest house Shiro will be closing after check-out on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

After closing, we plan to relocate to another location in Kanazawa City and open a new hotel that welcomes only one group per day.

As part of changes in our life stage and a new challenge, we have decided to close and relocate.

We are currently preparing to announce details of the next hotel—such as the new location and hotel name—on this blog and our offical Instagram account around March or April this year.

We are working toward opening the new hotel before summer 2026.

As our next challenge,

we want to create not a guesthouse, but a private hotel for only one group per day—
a place where you can relax so deeply that you wake up with big bed hair,
and where your stay becomes a special memory that stays with you long after.

That is the kind of hotel we hope to create.

It has been about 12 years since we opened Guest house Shiro in 2014.

Thanks to the many guests who stayed with us, and to everyone who supported us, helped us, and cheered us on, we have come this far.

Thank you so much for everything.

To the guests and people around us whom we have met recently, we truly wished we could share this news with you in person at that moment. Many times, the words were on the tip of our tongues. However, due to preparations, we are making this announcement at this timing and in this way.

We are sorry that we could not tell you directly.

For our next hotel, we plan to continue using our Instagram account, while updating the account name.

Payment for all reservations can only be made by credit card.

Please enter your credit card details on the reservation screen of the Guest House Shiro website after entering your accommodation dates, room selection, name, etc.

The payment for your stay (the day you use your credit card) will be made on the day of your stay. The payment is automatically made on the day of check-in.

-Cancellation.

In the event of cancellation or change to your stay, the following cancellation policy will automatically apply.

Cancellation fees: free of charge up to 6 days before the check-in date / 50% from 5 to 1 day before the check-in date / 80% if cancellation is notified on the check-in date / 100% if no-show on the check-in date.
